No prior musical experience is necessary for any of the summer workshops!

Introducing the Fun of Music to Preschoolers!

​

Mini Musical Me $55.00 (partial workshop/ sibling rate $45.00)

• A 6-week musical adventure with singing, percussion instruments, keyboard and musical notation for ages 3-4.

• 6 Thursdays: July 10th, 17th, 24rd, 31th, August 7th and 14th

• 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

• A child’s first hands-on exploration of musical instruments, singing voice and rhythm. Energetic classes with movement, songs and games!

Musical Me $85.00 (partial workshop/ sibling rate $70.00)

• A 6-week introduction to voice and instrumental music for ages 4-6

• 6 Tuesdays: July 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, August 5th and 12th

• 5:30 pm-6:15 pm

• Learn the basics of the four instrument groups and musical notation. Explore the keyboard, ukulele, recorder and percussion instruments in a small group setting with songs, dance and games. A perfect introduction to music lessons for curious children

Inspiring Creativity and Musical Expression!

​

Song Creator Workshop $25.00

• A song-writing workshop for ages 7+

• Thursday, July 10th, 5-6 pm

• Students will be inspired to think creatively about their own song ideas and use what we learn to create melody and accompanying music.

• We will learn about “melody”, “rhyming”, and “hooks” to build strong “lyrics” and look at the structure of a song: “Verse- Chorus- Bridge” through examples in familiar songs.

• We will use our creativity and instrumental skills to create accompaniments to melodies.

• We will put it all together and create a group song!

Rhythm Masters: We've Got Rhythm! $25.00

• Ages 6+

• Thursday, August 14th, 4:30pm- 5:30pm

• We will explore body percussion: the art of creating rhythm patterns using various parts of the body. Students will be challenged to create their own signature rhythm and connect it to a group rhythm performance.

Notation Wizards: Book of Spells $25.00

• Ages 7+

• Thursday, July 17th, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm 

• Musical spells to read notation? Working with the musical notes A, B, C, D, E, F, G and the Treble and Bass clefs we will do some "spell training" in musical words and create a "Book of Spells": Tricks handed down by generations of musical wizards to tackle any musical notation! Young wizards will even be encouraged to come up with their own "spells".

Expanding Singing Horizons!

Adventures In Singing! $55.00 (partial workshop/ sibling rate $40.00)

• A 4-week vocal workshop for ages 4-9

• 4 Tuesdays: July 8th, 15th, 22th, and 29th

• 4:30 pm- 5:15 pm

• Join the adventure! We will cross the ocean, scale the mountains and traverse the jungle with a variety of fun and interesting songs, musical theatre, dance and games.

Sing Out LOUD! $75.00 (partial workshop/ sibling rate $55.00)

• A 4-week vocal workshop for ages 8+

• 4 Thursdays: July 24th, 31st, August 7th and 14th

• 5:30 pm -6:30 pm

• We will explore various musical genres and singing styles and use journaling and scrapbooking to discover our own singing preferences. Musical theater and cooperative games create a supportive and nurturing environment for young singers!​​​
